Exercise- Not Just for Humans Anymore!
Nowadays, health and medical professionals stress the importance
of exercise for your mind, body, and soul. Well, how about
Fido? Too many overfed and under-exercised dogs exist
today with the
same medical problems that humans have, such as heart problems
and diabetes.
A
30 – 45 minute walk every day would do your
dog- and you- so much good. It’s a bonding time, a
cardiovascular workout, a stress reliever, and a sure cure
for boredom and
the blues.
Dogs
are way too intelligent to be thrown in a backyard. They enjoy
new surroundings as much as you do.
How exciting
it is
to get home
from a crappy day at work to find your dog so happy to see
you as he holds his leash in his mouth! You will notice
that the
longer walk is, the more favorable your mood becomes… and
it’s
free!
I’m
